$5,000 Grant & $7,500 Low Interest Loan

  • Winner is not required to accept the loan and can opt to just recieve the grant.

  • Competition is open to residents of Columbia County who were age 16-25 as of January 1, 2024.

  • Business must be established in Columbia County, but can be a physical location or online.

  • Contest is open to both new and expanding businesses.

  • Prize money may not be used to pay pre-existing debts.

Contestants will be required to submit:

  • Start Up Budget “What do you need to get off the ground”

  • Operating Budget “What do you foresee your costs and expenses as for year 1”

  • General Business Overview “A plan for how you will make money and operate”

    Contest will entail

  • Individual Marketing Event - You will be given a budget of $100 to show your stuff to the community to garner their vote!

  • Group Marketing Event - An in person event, held at The Lodge, where you will have a booth to highight your idea and get community support.

  • Finalists will go to “The Shark Tank” to make a final presentation in front of the judges.
